GRENADE

Physical & Mental Health Ambassador

During my campaign to reopen the health centres through COVID, I received substantial support from fitness industry giant GRENADE. In addition to the exposure and public support from the brand during my initial campaign, the team provided me with a significant amount of emotional support behind the scenes at what was probably the most challenging and high pressured period of my life. It’s for this reason that my relationship with Grenade continued long after the campaign and CEO Al Barratt and his team will forever have my gratitude.

I have worked with Grenade on several projects since, most notably my second campaign the Work Out to Help Out initiative that I put to government petition in 2021 which reached over 250,000 signatures, eventually reaching the debate floor soon thereafter. I put together a scientifically supported health proposal that would have seen an annual saving in health care spending by close to 10 Billion per year, a simple, cost effective initiative to save lives and reduce the strain on our NHS. Grenade put their weight behind this project and arranged a wave of television and press interviews for myself and James Haskell of England Rugby to bring attention to the scheme and the supporting petition.

Al & I recorded a 70 minute podcast together at his home in December of 2020 which can be found on Grenade’s YouTube channel here. More information on my association with Grenade can be found here
